DIY: How To Paint Your Wood Floor

Whether it’s age, damage, or mildew, wood flooring is subject to a lot of wear and tear over time. Here are some tips to ensure a professional paint job:

Prep: First remove throw rugs, furniture, and all objects from the premises. Once removed, clean up the area as best as possible. This requires sweeping or mopping to remove dust or debris. If there is any old paint or finish remaining on the floor, sand it to even out the floors completely. Allow the paint to dry fully before walking on the floor, and if possible, open up windows so the paint fumes can escape.
